Well, we all want to grow fast & grow early but with this mindset we only can grow for while and then we will sit back and start worrying why our business is not working now.
Use short cuts to have only short success because if you want to bloom your business for lifetime, you have to think rich to grow rich.
So don't these mistakes that I am about tell you one by one and if you are doing so, stop now or you will loose big.
1. Randomly pitching your business, Brand & Product to anonymously
Mistake
You will waste your money, energy & Time, if you don't know where your audience congregate. This happens when we are new in market and we don't know from where to start doing marketing for our business.
So before even coming that far in business, you really need to focus on this one thing "customer congregated platform" at the exact time when the idea of doing business brainstormed in your mind.
Now your niche ---- then now your audience platforms ---- Then decide to launch your business.
So don't market you business over random audience.
Cure
Whatever your business niche is, it will always be a sub-category under these three main big Business circle.
Like, if your business is related to real state, stock, Trading etc -- it will come under Wealth circle.
If your business is related to health like yoga, medication, pharmaceutical or providing Health insurance etc -- It will come under Health Circle.
If your business is related to divorce, love sites or giving relation advice etc -- it will come under relation circle.
So your niche is defiantly a part of one the circle above and These circles have their own platforms where people come to get help when needed. So now you have to shift your prospective to these big circle and you need to market your business according to your big circle. This way you can see your audience broadly and then you don't need to make your marketing pitch to random people.
Know the platform -- Know your audience -- Market your service.
2. Start doing paid marketing when you have not even establish your presence in market yet.
Mistake
It's like opening a social media account and then directly run paid advertisement to get more follower instantly. If you are doing this, you are totally on the wrong track because when people will come to see your profile there will be nothing for them to see and now they are not going to come back again.
This way you will ruin you first impression on them.
You need to establish yourself first, why you want to waste your money when you have maybe a great huge business but no creditably to it.
If you are new and thinking about sky rocketing your business in one go. Then it doesn't matter how much money you have to spend on marketing, It won't work. You have to build your Presence by showing people that you know their pain points and you are here to solve their problems. They are not going to trust you so easily, because competition is very high and there are already a lot of business like you who has their huge potential audience. So be smart and don't ruin your first impression.
Cure
Provide service to number of customer for free and record their feedback and then build a website and put some value content where you shows your expertise to that particular niche. Touch all the pain point of your audience and show them the feedback to let them know how you help other people like them.
Show them how happy other people are by taking your service.
Now, run the advertisement and when your audience will interact to your website , It will leave a great first Impression. Now there are high chances of those people to become you customer in future.
3. Buy The audience for traffic in your website
Mistake
A lot of us has this one hack in our mind when we start new. Let's buy some followers to hold some creditably. I am absolutely right, when you have opened your first business social media account, you defiantly thought it through, buying huge number of followers from somewhere. Haven't you think about it?
well to establish our business on big scale we really need a huge social presence on our social media business account. Because visitor make their mind on behalf of how much follower you have on social media and if the count is not good they will trust you the least but if the count is huge, they will blindly follow you, that's the psychology actually.
& we all know this somehow and we want to have huge following for this impression on people. And that's how we make mistake by buying the audience.
if you are doing so, stop it now because it is of no use. 10 potential customer can bring the huge profit, then the 1000 of fake customers.
Like for an example, if you have your business account on Instagram. And you’ve bought fake followers, used an automation software that goes against Instagram’s rules, or have been implementing spammy practices like copy + pasting the same generic comments over and over…
Instagram is going to notice, and they’re going to limit your account.This way you will not just loose those bought followers with time but also Instagram will decrease your accounts visibility.
As I said before, Short cut is only for short achievements. You need to think smart and on long term basis.
Instead of buying fake followers, you can always collaborate with other popular expert on your niche, who is doing same business from years. For example, look at the numbers , if the other expert in your niche has the audience of 10 to 100 thousand and you decide to collaborate with them or give them money to advertise your profile in their profile. Think about how much potential customer you can divert to your website. Even just 10 % of the total count of the expert audience would be enough, when you are new in market.
You can do it on daily basis, you can collaborate with 5 to 10 other experts. The results you will get by this will explode your mind.
4. Don't make promises that you can not stand.
Mistake
Just to attract the audience to your website, don't speak for big things when you are actually not giving them.
I Have seen some of the website where in there advertisement, they talk big talks but if you will go into their website they will only manipulate you.
Like for example : We are throwing away free movie tickets to you and all you need to do is, give your valuable feedback to this & that in our website. And when you will open there website, you will have nothing or they will come up with any excuse.
Or
Get 90 % Discount on our product and inside it will be either 40 % or 60 % discount on their products.
If you are doing so, stop it. It is really a dump thing to do. Never manipulate a customer because if you are doing so, they are not going to come back ever and also they can tell their circle about the experience they had in your website. So it's a big loss.
If you want to attract customers, use lead magnet headlines.
Create suspense Like
1. I thought I am wasting a lot of time at home in lock down but then I start making money from...........
This headline is for wealth circle where people shows their interest in making money, so when you write you blog or advertisement this way, you create the suspense in their mind and they will tend to open your site where you give them the detail about it.
2. Stock clearance sale get 500 rupees voucher on shopping of just 1000 rupees.
3. Get free blueprint of my new course on joining my webinar and give them away a blueprint.
This way, they not only shows their interest in your website but also in future they will come back to see, if there is any new offer arrived or not.
So avoid all these big mistakes which can cause you the big loss for future.
